Goodbye Old Friend

Goodbye Old Friend

A busy day down at HQ yesterday (28th June) as a group of adult leaders, helpers, parents and Scouts came together to clear the container in the back garden. Why? Because it had more holes than a swiss cheese. And the replacement, a shiny new galvanized garage arrives later this week. The garage was cleaned and tidied. Where did all that space come from?? And then the contents of the container were transferred, temporarily, into the garage. The scrap man came with his super-duper lorry and amazingly managed to lift the container out of its hole in the garden, over the fence and onto a lorry to be taken away and scrapped. We took the opportunity to clear out old rotten poles, tents, and other rubbish which had accumulated over the years. We even moved the frogs out of the container and hope they are able to find new accommodations in the garden!Photo0174
