We started the navigators badge this week with  teaching the cubs how to find eight points of the compass and how to use a compass to find out which direction they should be going, how to read a four figure grid reference, finding and  identifying the keys of a map,  we also did a bit about what to pack for a day hike. Adam brought in his pack that he uses when out hiking  so he had most of the items to show the cubs, we also did our own backpack game. were doing our hike next week so they will all get the chance to put to good use what they learned.
