Wolves and Bears Adventure Hike

Wolves and Bears Adventure Hike

We are currently doing our Navigator badge so we thought a nice little hike would be a good idea to finish it off.

We went up around Cox Green at St James Steel Park. It was lovely.  Practically all the cubs from both packs turned out on both nights which was very good and the weather stayed nice, warm but not too warm. We split the pack into two groups and we both went in opposite directions and crossed in the middle.  Everyone got a map that we had ready prepared, a bottle of water and a wild plant spotter card with a bag and a rubber glove, the bag was for a samples of the plants they found and the rubber glove was to pick the samples up, I didn’t want any allergic reactions or stings,( i checked beforehand that no-one was allergic to latex) although I think one of our cubs was a little disappointed that no-one had any injuries as she was itching to get her first aid kit out.

We did meet a few nice horses on our Hike, one of which was huge, he was called Archie and the lady riding him had had him since he was a foal, he was 16 years old.
