Happy 4th of July! Who wants an Eagle?

IMG_0660Our Cub packs went all-American this week, as we made some delicious all-American treats and made some all-American decorations, celebrating the 4th of July – Independence Day. We learned about Cubs in the United States of America, such as their promise which is:

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
And to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

IMG_0672Have you ever ate an Eagle?

Well we have! No, don’t worry, we haven’t actually harmed any real eagles. These were baked goods, as Cubs made their very own Edible Eagles. Yum!

Interesting fact: We actually have a Star Spangled Banner in our HQ that has been flown atop Capitol Hill in Washington DC, the capital of the USA. There’s also a certificate on the wall next to it to certify it, dated from 1992.

Cubs also finished off their digital citizens badge as they showed us their emailing and digital imagery skills.
