Had a really good visit to the Air Museum in Washington yesterday, we had prepared a quizz for the cubs as it is to go towards their Air Activities badge and they all seemed to be very enthusiastic and enjoyed hunting for the answers to the questions. We split into three groups and went round the exhibits in our groups. When you first go through from the entrance there is a very good display which looks like a street of old shops, there was a grocers, a dressmakers, music shop, and a toy shop which had an origional Monopoly game with the cardboard figures instead of the ones we know and love that are made of metal, there was also a toilet (complete with a man and his newspaper) and an air raid shelter. There were some different exhibits in the main hall too from when I last visitedt as they have acquired quite a few different vehicles and equipment from Newcastle when their museum closed, t here was a blue double decker tram out the front which just reminded me of the one in the Harry Potter film The Prisoner of Azkaban, different colour and size I know but there you go.
