Camp Chillout

Had another fantastic weekend with the cubs. Practically the entire pack turned out for our camp which was really good to see. We started off by going to the movies, we then went back to HQ and had lunch and a game of rounders, then it was off to Beamish Wild to take part in some seriously scary climbing up very thin and very tall poles! after being scared into blubbering wrecks (some of them) we then traveled back to HQ for pasta bolognaise (cooked by the cubs) and cake and custard. The camp fire was super and everyone had a good sing along and toasted /cremated marshmallows before going back inside to get pj’s on and watch the late night movie. It was about 11.30 when they finally settled down and we didn’t really hear much from them till around 6.30am! a vast improvement on last camp’s 5am wake up. Spent the day at Wet n Wild. Got back and did some investments of our newest Cubs in time for pick up by parents at 2.30. Phew! Fantastic weekend, all the cubs had a really great time and were really well behaved, they are a credit to Scouting, well done you lot. Checkout the pics.
