After last weeks false start we finally have the New Cubs group up and running woohoo!  We decided they should be called the Bear Cubs and our group on a Tuesday are the Wolf Cubs, were staying with the Jungle Book theme.

We had nine young people ( who were taken off the waiting list), join us last night.  These cubs haven’t been to Beavers so don’t really know much about Scouts so we started with information they need to know like registering their attendance each week, fire safety, the routines we have, the grand howl and closing ceremonies, standing on the circle all that type of thing which if they had been Beavers they would already know. We played a couple of games and made shelters with cardboard boxes which we then squirted with water pistols to check whether or not they were waterproof… they weren’t lol.

Four of our Wolf Cubs came down to help so thank you Mathew, Georgia, Andrew and Amelia. They are coming down for a few weeks just to help the new cubs settle in and keep them right. Our new adults were in attendance too so thank you ladies for coming down.  They are hopefully going to be taking at least two roles of ACSL and i think the others are going to stay OH’s but were not sure yet, give it a couple of weeks. I think everyone enjoyed themselves as they all said they would be back next week so heres to weeks two.
