Really good activity this week. We did a healthy Soothie Making night. There were three recipes for the cubs to follow Apple & Banana, a basic fruit smoothie and a Mango smoothie. They were very successful at making them, the strawberry & banana was my personal favourite. Unfortunately the Mango smoothie didn’t go down very well, it was putrid! They are so simple to make, everyone said they enjoyed it, why don’t you have a go.
BASIC FRUIT SMOOTHIE
8-10 strawberries
1 banana
1 peach peeled & stone removed
8 fl oz orange juice
MANGO SMOOTHIE
1 RIPE MANGO
150g PLAIN YOGHURT
300ml MILK
1tsp CLEAR HONEY (to sweeten)
SEEDS FROM 6 CARDAMON PODS
STRAWBERRY & BANANA SMOOTHIE
10 strawberries
1 small banana
2 tblsp natural yog (or with honey)
2 tblsp clear natural honey
200 ml semi skimmed milk
