As the title suggests, we did the Tesco Farm to Fork trail with the Cubs this week. We went to Tesco at Chester-le-Street, the staff were awesome and couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a tour of the fish counter and explored some of the seafood, there were some pretty gruesome ones I have to say,
but the more gruesome the more the Cubs loved it, they had a clipboard with questions they had to answer so they did have to pay attention, next we moved onto the cheese counter where the Cubs had the opportunity to try four different cheeses, including a smelly blue, most of the cubs tried them but a handful wouldn’t try them because they don’t like cheese. I tried them and they were lovely (except the smelly blue… yuck).
After the cheese we went to the fruit and veg isle where we learned about tall the different colours of the veg and what a huge variety they sell in the store.
They toured behind the scenes in the freezer which was well cold and the fridge which was a bit smelly, they were all very well behaved and I think they all had a super time.
