the last few weeks we have been working on the First Aid badge. We’ve learned how to treat burns and scalds, deal with bleeding andersen give CPR to an unconscious patient. This week we had a visit from an ambulance and two people who work for the ambulance service.
They showed us some of the equipment and let us have a look round he vehicle. They even wired Mr Lloyd up to a machine to check that he was alive. He was relieved to discover that he was. The team were impressed by our knowledge of first aid and suggested that when some of the Scouts were older they may want to become volunteers for the service.
