As we are currently doing our Community Challenge and Home Safety badges, we decided a visit to Safety Works in Newcastle would be the perfect opportunity for cubs and adults to brush up on their knowledge of safety in and out of the home. The Safety centre is brilliant!  When you go inside it is like a small village, there are roads with pedestrian lights, a bus stop, metro station, kitchen, hospital, living room, there’s even a burnt out living room to show what happens when there has been a fire in a house, we didn’t get to see that but we did see most of the other things. The staff there are fantastic and really go into detail about how to be safe , I would say a big Thank You to them for their dedication. I took a couple of sneaky pics of the cubs using the road and pedestrian crossing area to give you an example. I would recommend a visit.
