The Scouts were invited down last meeting to enjoy a bit of interaction with the cubs, the purpose being to involve the groups a bit more, and to show the cubs what sort of activities the scouts do. The evening went really well. It started off with and intro to the leaders and scouts and then quickly proceded into a game which involved a football!! Next came a video of indoor and outdoor activities that the scouts have done recently, after that came building catapults from bamboo canes and elastic bands, the idea being to shoot a target at the end of the hall, they seemed to really enjoy this and were very enthusiastic. It was a very enjoyable evening for the cubs and i think it had the intended result of encouraging reluctant cubs to move from cubs onto scouts. Check out our crossbows on youtube
