Today was all about Scoutcraft in order to gain the Outdoor Challenge Badge. We reckon that by the time you gain the Outdoor Challenge badge you can count yourself as a proper Scouts. That’s because you will have camped in a tent, cooked a meal on a fire and demonstrated that you can live comfortably and safely in a field for a whole week. The badge has changed recently to add a few new bits and is a new hexagonal design too. After learning all about how to use axes and knives, we spent the morning lighting fires to cook our lunch of toasted pizza sandwiches. Mr Lloyd asked us to think about what we would do if the bay was and island and we were stranded. We decided to build a shelter which we will be sleeping in tomorrow night. After a meal of spaghetti and meatballs we played angry birds using water balloon launching catapults.
