As part of the National Schools Snowsport Week, Beavers hit the dry slopes at Silksworth this week for an introduction to skiing.

After getting kitted out with our skis and boots, we headed outside to meet our 2 super-friendly instructors, then it was straight for the slopes! We got comfortable with the skis, had a go at moving around in them, all before (slowly) making our way up the slope… Which meant of course that we had only one way to come down: on our skis!

All of the Beavers did themselves proud. A few even managed to get a small jump in at the end! Superb skiing everyone, we have no doubt that a few of you will be back on the slopes very soon…
